She did opt for post mortem in the end - her son suggested that she might regret not taking the opportunity. He had tumours on both kidneys and a massive tumour on his heart which was the source of the blood. Bless his soul.

Oh goodness. That's a shock. Hopefully the post mortem helps to provide some sort of insight for vets as to how these conditions develop.
Our dogs are just as vulnerable as us to the onslaught of horrible diseases.
