"Woof"

Does anyone else's dog say "Woof"?

Maisy barks in a normal way usually, but every now and then she just 'says' "Woof".
It makes me laugh - just an observation really.

Almost like a chuff? Yes! Maxx has different sounds depending on the circumstance sometimes. E.g. if we're in the car and have forgotten to put the back windows down for him he makes a low whining sound that he never uses otherwise. Also the single bark if he wants to go outside is unique in pitch. They are so clever at finding ways of communicating aren't they?

My Springer, Penny, used to go 'bow-wow' (to rhyme with 'go'). When my son was a toddler he used to call her Bow- not something we introduced, his own idea. Mind you she was a barker!

Yes, there is a bit of that as well. Kind of like a low grumble that just keeps going on and on, they are so funny!
