Little brother and Jenny are coming for the weekend! I thought I wouldn't see them for dust after I went for three nights and stayed for three weeks! I suspect they're checking up on me, as with an Elderly Relative. As revenge I'm going to treat them to a take away from my favourite Asian supermarket on Friday and have booked us into a restaurant that I've heard good reports about on Saturday. They refused to accept anything towards housekeeping for the time I stayed with them, so now it's my turn to be the generous one! Tee hee!

Maxx made me laugh last night. Normally as soon as I open the front door he runs to the top of the stairs and waits for Steve to move the chair blocking them. Then he launches like a torpedo at me

Last night...silence. then Steve saying
'Maxx, Mum's home'....silence
'Go see Mum'.....silence
Steve comes to the top of the stairs encouraging wayward fur child. I was starting to feel sad that he didn't care anymore. Then Maxx raced down the stairs, thrust his snout in my general direction as his welcome kiss then scampered back up the stairs and disappeared again. By now Steve was on the floor laughing. I called Maxx and he repeated the little act of super quick greeting

It turned out that Steve made him a chicken/vege/rice mix dinner instead of kibble and it was cooling on the kitchen bench. Sir sheds-a-lot was too busy guarding it |( but it was so funny to see his anxious face being torn between coming to see me and making sure no-one stole his soon to be dinner. It's funny too as he doesn't resource-guard once he gets the food but oh! The anticipation

Haha poor Maxx 😆

Ella gets torn if I'm preparing food in the kitchen while Nathan's eating at the table. You can see her trying to decide between the more tasty food options and the likelihood of getting some! Sometimes I think she looks like a cartoon dog bouncing between us 😆

I smiled last night when my son asked very politely how many of the sausages I'd cooked he could have, and how many was Cassie having ?

This follows an incident a few months ago when he and his sister, after a night out, consumed the entire quantity of sausages I'd cooked to take to gundog training one Sunday :punch::donttalk:And that is a lot of sausage, like about 12!

There was a major panic situation, as I had to run round and come up with the rewards SWMBO insists on in a very short space of time !:cwl:
