Blue Green algae

Not sure if blue green algae lives in all your parts of the globe but here in Eastern Canada it has killed three dogs within 30 minutes of consumption. Two belonged to the same person. Be aware if blooms in your region, it is a silent killer.

That poor owner . Yes, due to the hot weather in the UK , this algae has been a problem here too .

Two dogs have died having been swimming in Loch Awe which has Blue Green Algae in it This Loch is literally at the other end of the Glen from us, about 15 minute drive. An awful update but necessary for those members that might live in this area. So so sad. xx

Yes, it's dreadful and does happen here in certain conditions. Thanks for the reminder.

That is so sad - we have it here too but not in too many places thankfully

We have it in one of our reservoirs in a stagnant corner, I always put them on the lead round that bit. It tends to be worse in September, when the scum is clearly visible.
