After many many bouts of diarrhoea as a puppy, Red’s system sorted itself out and her poos have been solid and regular. This last week though has been weird. Diarrhoea on Tuesday, ok on Wednesday and Thursday, then diarrhoea more or less since. Yesterday after two very runny blasts of diarrhoea, she was ok until the evening having an almost solid poo on her evening walk. Last night I heard her whine at 12.30 - she was desperate to get outside. I then heard her again at 2.00 and let her out for more. This morning more of the same. Just getting a bit concerned now. I have been giving her Pro Kolin twice a day - fortunately she loves this. I think if she is still like this tomorrow I have to take her to the vets. She is fine in herself and just as desperate as always to eat her food. I have cut down on her fish treats but otherwise she is getting her normal allowance. I am trying to stay calm about this (it used to really upset me) but I really hate it when she is unwell

Probably not s bad idea to have a consult with the vets. Something seems to be upsetting her system. Maybe an allergy of some sort?

Have you tried changing what she’s eating?

Pro kolin and a few days of chicken & rice usually sorts Stanley out. If I keep him on his kibble it seems to last much longer

No I have reduced her intake per day. She can’t have chicken but I might give her rice later

Poor Red, I can imagine you’re particularly concerned @Atemas given her puppy problems but hopefully it’s a bug or other minor issue easily fixed with a vet visit x

I'm with @Jen , if Ella's tummy is bad, I find taking her off her kibble for a few days really helps. Scrambled egg is good too, especially if she can't have chicken.

When she was younger was it dietary? I can't recall but remember you posting about it.

They're such a worry when they're unwell. Hopefully its something simple. It's encouraging that Red is still eating enthusiatically.

Hope Red is a little better, however, I would take her to the vet tomorrow, just for a check and perhaps something to stop the diarrhoea.

When she was younger was it dietary?

We never really found out - she definitely reacted to chicken so have avoided that ever since. She has had tiny bits when we have roasted chicken and has been ok but generally we stick to turkey or fish for protein

Haven’t posted sooner as wanted to have a few normal poo days with Red. Seems like we are back to normal (I hesitate as she has been ok then not). Hate it when she has a poorly tum - probably bothers me more than her. She has developed a new thing when she has diarrhoea- unless she’s totally desperate she will not poo on the lawn but has to go in the flower/shrub beds. She never normally goes into the bushes so when I see this behaviour I know what’s coming!!
