After our lovely walk on Saturday Holly developed a cough. The vet doesn't think its kennel cough (thank goodness) but Holly's not a happy pup. Hopefully a few days rest will get her back to her old self.

What does the vet think it is?! Has he listened to her heart though I don't think that is the problem.

The vet think it could be something that's irritated her throat or soft palate. Possibly inhaled something like a grass seed. The heart, temperature, lungs are all normal. It's a case of rest and see what happens.

Finn was under the weather too and our vet thought it was kennel cough. She gave him a pain medication and we had to give him novacam as pain medication. He only got this during two days and then the cough was gone....Right after the pain meds he started to feel well again. Try to give her this and see if it works.

She's still coughing a bit. She's feeling a bit sorry for herself. I'm not sure whether its because she's unwell or because her daily schedule has been disturbed. Maybe a bit of both.
