We woke up to a thin layer of snow, then there was sleet and slush, then rain and now the wind is back. The river levels this morning were lower than yesterday but they're rising again now. Also this, spotted on the way home was a worrying sight.IMG_20200224_102435.jpg

Rain , high wind , more rain , sleet  This evening one of the two arterial roads through Cornwall is closed both ways due to a large tree falling onto the road , this is the A38 , the tree came down near our village just where we turn to take dogs for a walk , second time this has happened at the same spot in one week . We think Highways are going to be closing the road and chopping many trees down which is a shame but they have been weakened by recent storms and are dangerous x

Wow @Jen can't believe all the snow up your way. It was still 10C here today.

Loads of rain and my job has been put on hold due to lack of funding (hopefully temporary) so Carbon and I visited our friends at Seasalt and bought stuff. I thought it would be deserted but Padstow was jumping - or at least Seasalt was. Guess there's a limited range of what you can do on a rainy Monday in Padstow. At one point there were six dogs in the shop!

Carbon and I just came back from the beach. We got a break in the rain, but the wind is gusting and the temps finally dropped. Harlyn was all ours and Carbon had some fun games of find the treats with them flying all around in the wind. Finally a couple of other crazy humans and dogs showed up and eventually I'd had enough blowing, even with more than adequate weather gear.

I put Carbon in the back of the car and as I was struggling to open my own door, I notice the woman in the car next to ours doing the same, though trying to get out. Then I notice that she and her partner are dressed in swim suits (trunks and suit) no other clothes, no shoes. Ehhh???!

Then from the coziness of the TARDIS, I see these two nutballs run down the beach (difficult enough with all the stones) and DIVE into the waves. Thankfully they didn't actually try to swim (the waves were crazy high) but ran out as soon as they were 100% wet. They jumped back into the car and drove off.

I know I keep saying it, but people are weird. :|
