Put a teddy bear in your window.

A mass teddy bear hunt is under way around the world to help distract the millions of children locked down because of the coronavirus pandemic.

In the UK children are making a note of where they see the teddies when out for the daily walk and putting them on line.

The hunt is inspired by the children’s book We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, written by UK author Michael Rosen.

That should keep small children busy.

We have 2 tracks at the sides our house. I have my teddy in my front room window. My son's monkey and teddy in the bedroom window. Because we ran out of teddies, Fred's Fox and Annie's Rabbit in the kitchen window.

All the cuddly bears in our house have their faces ripped out, so, as I don't want to give any little ones nightmares, I have put a plastic bear head in the window instead. A disembodied head is better than a chewed face, I think.

I have put a facebook appeal out asking for rainbow pictures from the children in my town. I want to empty the shop window display as the stock will get ruined being in the sun for so long with the shop empty, so I want to stick rainbows all around the window instead. When we are back to normal the children can call in the shop and get a thank you gift, a pack of pencils or a sweet or something. It is brightening up the street, supporting our key workers, giving the children something to do and a bit of advertising all at the same time.

At this time of National Crisis the noble old gentleman has come out of retirement to do his duty by cheering people up, especially the local children.

What a lovely and regal teddy, @Candy . ❤

I have such a soft spot for bears. Heck, I even like @SwampDonkey 's "scary" one. Reminds me of the bear my own grandmother gave me as a baby who still has a special place in my heart.
