Good news that it is healing.

Argh....I took the cone off yesterday morning as it looked completely healed, no redness, etc. He seemed to be mainly leaving it alone but did catch him licking at it a couple times over the last 24 hours. Looking at it this afternoon I can see it’s a bit red again. Sigh. Cone has gone back on.

@Lisa , argh, the cone off and on thing - we can all empathise. Sounds like he's on the mend, though, and a few more "cone head" days will do it.

I hope so! It’s just so weird though. It looked completely healed to me. I couldn’t see at all where the cut had been. But Simba’s nose is so sensitive...once he started licking at it I could see a thin red line so...

oh well. Cone head it is. I applied cheese during the re-coning and he didn’t mind a bit.

He’s basically ok. The spot is drying up again...I’m keeping the cone on for the week at any rate. Hopefully by the weekend it will be all ok.
