I think they're probably rather a big bit different in the UK. I used to frequent them and get loads of good stuff, but sadly none around here.I wouldn't be brave enough to go into an army supply shop (at least in the US where they shoot people), but genius idea.![]()
Yes, we used to have a good one not far away, but I drove by a few days ago and see that it is no longer. It's a shame . But perhaps the army doesn't have a surplus any more!I think they're probably rather a big bit different in the UK. I used to frequent them and get loads of good stuff, but sadly none around here.
There used to be a fabulous one at East Runton near Cromer called The Kit Bag. We regularly went in there when on holiday - itβs now gone - such a shame. Noticed recently the shop is being βdone upβ so wonder what itβs going to becomebut sadly none around here.
Oh, here they mostly well stuff people use for camping.I wouldn't be brave enough to go into an army supply shop (at least in the US where they shoot people), but genius idea.![]()

Ah ok! I'm purely judging from the outside as I've never been INSIDE one, but I think in the US, they mainly sell firearms, ammunition and lots of stuff made out of camo fabric. There used to be one in San Jose - the building was painted in camo with a big picture of an automatic weapon on the front, so this is where my obviously deep knowledge of the subject comes from.Oh, here they mostly well stuff people use for camping.![]()
Oh they definitely do. Chap said that when an item is handed out from stores it is in a sealed wrapping. Once that wrapping is opened if the item doesn't fit it cannot go back into stores, it now becomes surplus (for UK that is). Crazy. But perhaps the army doesn't have a surplus any more
