Surgery tomorrow

Just back from the vets. They have given her some painkillers and started pulling away and yelping when they touched the area. This afternoon she had a funny 5 mins where she started drooling, walking apprehensively, licking her lips and her head down. My dog Walker was here visiting her and was a bit concerned too. Since then she mainly slept. We are back at the vets again Monday afternoon for another check.

Harley has had 2 longer walks this weekend (1hour) and about half of each off lead. She’s had a little run, but not full on. She still has fluid on her chest, but I think it’s looking very slightly smaller. We’ve got vets again tomorrow for them to check it. I’m hoping she can start going on walks with her friends as she is definitely needing more interaction and wanting to play more. Oj is up Tuesday night so we will see how she is with Lyla.
I’ve ordered her a tank top from equafleece as we have to roll her medical suit up as she shuts down if we put it on fully. we need to protect the scar on her shoulder and chest, plus they are shaved (big area) so need to keep her warm. I think the fleeces will make her too hot so opted for a tank top. Hopefully it will protect the wounds when she’s with other dogs.

The fleece is a good idea. The fluid sounds very much like Rory's boob. That eventually re absorbed after a few weeks after initialy being drained 3 times.
