Mini Holiday with Oreo

Oreo and I have just been away for 3 nights with my boyfriend as it is his birthday today!

We stayed in a cosy little log cabin about 15 miles North of Inverness. I managed to drag him out on some lovely walks with lots to explore!

On Friday, we headed back down to Inverness for a couple of nice walks. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, a very sunny 8°C
Our first walk was at Craig Phadrig Forest. It was lovely, although quite steep in parts (no bother for me though).


Our second walk was along the Caledonian Canal. The Caledonian canal is 60 miles long and runs from Inverness all the way down to Fort William. It was just beautiful

Saturday…

On Saturday, we went for another 2 walks, but this time we headed more North!
Off we drove up through Dingwall, and Strathpeffer to reach Rogie Falls. The colours were so vibrant and still had a very autumnal feel to it. Again, the weather was gorgeous!

Walk number 2 was even further north at Corrieshalloch Gorge. It was incredible

And then today on our way home, I took him down through Glen Coe as he had never been there before!
Safe to say he thought it was amazing… I have a secret little spot that I park the car and then walk up a bit to get amazing views. This place will never get old

Did you find that Glen Coe had an atmosphere? My Scottish friend said it was always eery because of what had happened there. It is the most amazing scenery.

Beautiful photos, Sophie! I was going to rib you mercilessly for only taking photos of Oreo and none of your boyfriend, but you did post one, so you've ruined all my fun!

Carbon says he's happy to see another handsome Spanish gentleman on the forum.

I've only been to Glen Coe once but remember it very clearly though most of the rest of the trip is kind of a blur at this point. Very dramatic and evocative.

I do find Glen Coe very eerie having driven through it several times but it is stunning
