The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

When you said "we" I thought that you meant both of you dabbled at surfing! Carbon does love the water! Xx
Considering I came home soaked from above my knees down to my squishy-socked toes, can I count THIS time as surfing? :giggl:

I've just not worked up the courage to get in the water, or even to shop for a wet suit yet. There was a family there today (parents and two 10-and-younger kids) who were out swimming with regular swimsuits (no wetsuits). Man, oh, man...could not do that. Plus the tide was out so the walk back to the car from the water would have been absolutely brutal. Some days even in the winter, the water is so gorgeous that you just want to hop in despite the temperature - this is not one of those days!

Me too! I was trying to work out whether you were zooming the camera or actually paddling, Emily!
I know my brand spankin' new iPhone is supposed to be water proof, but I don't really want to test it out by taking it swimming. That was definitely zooming! However "never turn your back on the ocean" is no lie because that wave came up butt-cheek level and wholly defeated my poor wellies. Squish, squish, squish. And not just the socks if you know what I mean. 😅

Yesterday we went to St Ives. It is my very favourite seaside town so far! So many good smells. Every street had a different smell and so many people were walking around with food. One lady had a pasty in her hand and I ran up to her to help her eat it, because that is the kind of muy bien Señor that I am. "Look," she said to her friend, "This dog thinks he know me and that I am his friend. How sweet is he?". And then she pet me so nicely, while ML rolled her eyes and bit her tongue so hard that I thought she might hurt herself. Si, si, ML is right: I really only wanted to eat the pasty from the lady's hand, but if I made her smile and think she has a new Spanish friend, where is the harm, de verdad?

Anyway, we took so many photos and it was such a bonita day, but ML has only finished with a few photos that I can already share. I did some excellent modelling, despite my ears going all asunder from the wind. Que bien!

Oh Señorita GGJ, you must come to Cornbeefwall or I must come up north. I have been to Yorkshire, but sadly we did not meet. I think we could have such a good time comparing our wonderful floppy ears. Ojala!

It was indeed a very blustery day yesterday. My ears were going every which way. But I am still very guapo. Just with unruly ears.
