We are so lucky to have easily accesse, shady woods with a stream running through for walks on hot days like today.
Tatze was extra keen to go in the water.
Now we are home we‘ve had to put a gate across the French doors as she keeps wanting to go and lie on the patio in the full sun!
This little girl arrived here nine years ago ready for anything! She’s changed our lives in so many ways, all positive, including becoming an expert puppy wrangler!
These were the very early days, we knew nothing of Labradors - a steep learning curve. Gavin was 15 and absolutely amazing with her.
Mike came with me to pick her up - so I let him name her. He was a carer at the time, in Germany - caring for a bloke with a guide dog called Tatze. And so she got her name. We didn’t know then that Guide Dogs would play such a big part in her life!
Gavin taught her doggy manners really well, his old bones couldn’t have her bouncing round him - and he made sure she didn’t. He allowed her on his bed, but only if she was calm.
Tatze puppy was so adorable - and already so Tatze! I love how she was mentored by Gavin and now is mentoring little Ted, albeit being a much younger dog now than Gavin was with her.
That new chair - swanky Miss Tatze!
And yep, that's her bed and she must hold firm. The big bed is her bed, the small bed is her bed...all beds are her bed!
