Thank you for asking after our little soldier . A little more positive today after another Vet visit . If you can imagine a hole in her side about the size of a playing card where yesterday the dead skin came off and one side was badly swollen . Today , the swelling has gone down quite a bit and her temperature is normal . Sue is very quietly confident that given a little more time , the two sides can be joined together . Obviously this means another surgery but it is a light at the end of the tunnel , and much relief here xxx

Positive news but poor little Nelly it must have been so painful for her. Hope you are bearing up as a big shock for you as well and Paul. Have you heard anything from the dog's owner?

The husband rang me two nights ago, blocking his number again . I told him that I could not speak to him as I was so distressed over Nelly and also financial burden . No mention of payment was made and I understand that the police are visiting the witness today to take a formal statement xxx Once the police file is done and action taken , I will be taking them to the small claims courts x
I am so sorry you are having to bear all this Kate, but hopefully Nelly is slowly turning a corner bless her little heart. xxx
I would record any calls you have from them if you can. If he makes any threats you need to report him.

Absolutely this. It is a form of harassment/intimidation, do let the police know, and make sure you record any calls. Another way is to have a system, I think it is available via BT - to screen your calls.

At the time of the attack , the owner asked for my number which I hgve but in our desperation to get Nelly to the Vets , I didnt get her details . What a coward to ring using Private Number , I think the calls are due to wanting to appease themselves by asking how Nelly is but I dont want to speak to either of them xxIf you have an answering Machine/phone put it on and leave it on if he rings again, let it record him.

Oh Kate, I missed this earlier.
I can understand how this will just distress you further.
I'm sure I wouldn't be brave enough, but in my head I would want to respond to how Nelly is with an accumulated vets bill total so far....and not share any actual health information.
I really hope the police throw the book at her.
