The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

After a 9000 (yes, nine thousand) kilometre adventure, Carbón and I landed at Upper Deck (our favorite house in the world in our favorite place in the world) yesterday evening right at sunset. The TARDIS was messily unpacked, Carbon’s healthy dinner was made (and enthusiastically eaten), my UNhealthy dinner was eaten (thank you Tesco), and we tumbled into bed well before 8pm. Whew.

Before all that happened, we also had a lovely visit with @Granca and Tuppy, who had a massive play with Carbón. It was so nice to see you both!

It was lovely to see you both too! Tuppy loved playing with Carbón - and it was good to see that she hasn’t lost her mad moments when she got him to play tug with her tug ball too!



Now relax after all that driving and enjoy Cornwall, especially the lovely beaches!

Before handing Carbón’s thread back over to him, just wanted to say ‘hello’ again and thank you for the kind messages that I am late in seeing. I went missing a bit: I was of course so happy to return to Cornwall but rather ironically got a bad case of the sads post-arrival. It all went a bit wonky for a bit but I’m working hard now to get myself back on track - and part of that was making a goal to come back to the Forum and (try) to act like a proper human again!

Carbón has no issues at all of course, just a happy Señor who loves being close to his best friend Reuben again. He has been quite frustrated with my sudden lack of enthusiasm for taking photos and keeps posing in front of things. Sometimes I just take a photo because I don’t want his supermodel skills to go to waste! I’ll dig out some of those maybe.

Our next travel adventure is this weekend, when I will travel by myself and spend the very first night away from Carbón since I took him home from the shelter. I’m in bits about it, but Carbón will think it’s The Best Thing Ever because he gets to stay with bestie Reuben. He likely won’t want to come home!
