I’m so sorry to hear about what you’re facing with Gizmo. My first thought was “Wait, Gizmo is still young, especially for a cat!”. And then to read further that he’s only 8. It really isn’t fair at all, even more so with losing Axel so young. I hope you get the longest time with him that he can manage to give you.

He’s actually been doing quite good, thank you for asking

He’s eating a mixture of canned food, I have to alternate the flavour every meal so he eats but that’s ok. He has gained a good amount of weight back, so he no longer feels like a skeleton. He is purring again He is back to being adventurous and playful, has even invited Hugo to play a couple of times. He’s following me around the house again, greeting me at the door when I get home

I understand that his disease won’t reverse, but I’m hopeful that now that he’s eating again and getting key nutrients that maybe we have more time 🥹
