Sore Paw

They have these in the local pet shop but like Amazon only in a large. I’ve bought 3 pairs of others all marked XL but on arrival were too small. Bella’s got skinny legs but big feet. Can I ask what size you have?

I use XL for Merlin

You know, thinking back I remember my old Labrador Bones had something like that on his foot once... It cleared up pretty much by itself, though it was better in dry weather.

At long last I think we are getting there.
6 weeks, umpteen ‘treatments’ not to mention muddy sock and boot washing.
I’ve left her socks off whilst inside but continuing with padded boots to go out.
She is slowly tolerating my presence a bit more as I go towards her she hides her head and holds out her paw

That looks a lot less angry now . Reuben used to have lots of pad and nail problems , I always found that they cleared up really quickly once any dressings could be safely left off and the air could help to dry the wound x

New wellies arrived today. Bit of a faff to put on but have kept her paw nice and dry. Bella was less than impressed, auditioning for ministry of silly walks.

Hopefully a few more days and we can try without any boots.

At long last it’s almost invisible.
Now watching a new 1mm area just below her dew claw. Fingers crossed it just where her boot might have rubbed.
Get a dog they said, it will be fun they said didn’t mention the stress they caused. Will keep a close eye on it and watch and wait.

Yesterday was first day she went out without a boot on and so far so good. The skin over the cyst has healed nicely with just a faint mark where it was . The tiny area I’m watching near to her dew claw is unchanged so I suspect it is due to either her dew claw getting caught in her boot or the boots rubbing.
I kitchenclinic is well and truly shut, all boots and socks washed and put away. I feel like I’ve got my life back the big bonus is (drum roll) Bella is my friend again. Hurrah!!
