So we got Honey yesterday late afternoon. Way home was similar to Vanillas, but just handled better this time round. OH had less of a panic when Honey started to cry. Honey settled after a while. Of course the heat did not help at all, but glad Aircon in car was working. That was unfortunately a quick introduction for Honey, but she did not seem bothered about it.
Got home and introduction had to be done on the lawn in rear garden. OH walked round the side gate to the rear, whilst I entered front. Said hello to Vanilla is in the normal way, but of course given my smell she gave me a good sniff. Whilst doing this Honey explored the rear garden, after about 5min. Vanilla clocked her and OH and went to the rear door. Out she went and both gave each other a good sniff for 10 or so minutes. then off they wandered and then had a another sniff.
Vanilla had enough so she went to another are of the garden, and OH took Honey inside. Explored and sniffed in the house, then started to look for Vanilla again.
Feeding time for Honey was a funny one, as Vanilla though it was for her whilst Honey had no idea, and why would she. But as doing the food for Honey, because Vanilla sat Honey sat and watched with her tiny little eyes. Of course had to reward both with a little treat, I only had Honeys kibble, so gave one to each one. Honey ate it, Vanilla spat it back out. Yep she was expecting her treats.
Whilst giving Honey her food, took Vanilla upstairs out of the way. piece and quiet to allow them to eat in peace.
Sleep time for both and then evening came along, bit of a play and then more sleep. Vanilla got her walk, little bit later than normal due to the heat and hot pavements.
Back after walk and sat outside, with Honey a sleep by my legs and Vanilla giving me a dirty look.
Night time sleep was not to bad 3 wakes at 11:30, 1:30 and 3:30. Of course alarm then went of at 5am, for Vanillas morning walk.
