Oh no Candy
What bad luck
Which part of Nottingham are you at?
I hope it is not your gin drinking hand!?
Take care and I hope that you are not in too much pain

I' m in Hucknall, was just approaching the level crossing outside Linby when I fell. I'm just very thankful that we weren't actually on the level crossing!

Oh no @Candy - what rotten luck! Not part of the plan at all. I guess there is some compensation, that wine cellar.....

Good idea to stay put, you seem to be dealing with it with your usual fortitude and good nature xx

Thanks, I just keep thinking we could have so easily have been on the level crossing or it could have been my right arm or a leg, or I could have had no-one to look after me and that just puts it all into perspective. Also the Advanced nurse practitioner I saw was excellent and I do still love to see spot on nursing. And GGJ is safe and happy. Most important of all!

Oh dear, not in the plan at all! It’s a good thing that you’ve got help at hand, though, GGJ with you - and a steady supply of wine and beer, not to mention gin in the fruit salad!

I hope all goes well with the op and it all heals quickly afterwards.

Sorry you are suffering - although it looks like you're getting a lot of 'medicinal' help. What a rotten thing to happen on hols but you are in the right place to be cared for, hope the treatment goes well :fingers:

Thanks for your concern everyone. I didn't actually hear bone crunching until I tried to move it, which I then promptly stopped doing! Not too bad today, the plaster and sling help along with Ibuprofen and Paracetamol. We drove back to my house today to pick up more clothes and shoes that don't need fastening. Joy stayed in Hucknall and was kept company by my neice, lots of games in the garden, so she's happy. I have come to see that I couldn't possibly have managed at home on my own as I can't open a bottle with one hand! It's quite a bit warmer here than in windy West Yorkshire too, and it's lovely to be able to sit out in the garden. Joy still hasn't been in the pond.
