Is there a second teething phase?

She is fine this morning, thanks. I doubt she has learned anything though - she was still looking for sticks and bushes to chew in the garden this morning. Somewhere along the line evolution has made them idiots - she certainly wouldn’t survive in the wild

Is there a second teething phase?

So the silly monkey just went out for bedtime wee and chewed a stick. The stick got wedged across her upper jaw. Cue prizing open her jaw, using a torch to see where it was stuck and eventually flipping it out. At one point I thought we were off to the emergency vets but thankfully we managed...

Is there a second teething phase?

It is indeed! I thought we were were out of the woods re biting! I am currently sitting on the sofa holding a chew toy in one hand and typing with the other! We will buckle up for round 2😱

Is there a second teething phase?

Cassie was a very bitey pup. Then suddenly it stopped and the cuts and bruises healed. Now she is back in bitey mode - either mouthing hands or scarily jumping up and biting at our arms. She has lost 3 of 4 canines but when she bites on her chew toys she mostly targets the back teeth so I assume...

    Snowie

Please don’t beat yourself up. You did everything you could with the information and treatments available to you at the time. We can all only do the best we can - and you most certainly did that.

    Poorly ear

That’s great news. Ear problems are always worrying.

    Tatze's eye

Agree with previous comments. A few years ago we were prescribed eye drops - I was very annoyed to discover that I could have had cream instead which would have been so much easier!

    Poorly ear

It sounds like it was very successful! My mum (!) has similar procedures (albeit not under anaesthetic) on a regular basis and says she feels dizzy and disoriented afterwards. But it does clear up the problem. @Stacia recommendation for a glass of wine for you combined with a cuddle for Cassie...

    Poorly ear

Good that they are going to have a proper look. Small Cassie sends her best wishes for a speedy recovery to big Cassie.

    Confused about Crate Size

I would second the idea of a pen. My Cassie doesn’t like her crate much - she will go in it to sleep with the door open but doesn’t go in of her own accord. It was useful having a pen around the crate as we could put her in there when she needed to sleep as a very small pup. Like @HAH we are...
