Cola prefers the "forearm chomp-and-shake" but the description is sooooo accurate and I guess "playtime thru the gate of a crate" is a bit similar to playtime from within the paddling pool with "jaws" on the outside

what about trying a scratch pad - I was thinking about trying this for Cola (all my dogs get their nails done differently - Foxy grinder (tolerates rather than loves) - Ellie holds her paws out (warily) - Tamber - lies on bed with paw dangling over the side - but only allows two cuts at a time...

OK - I need hope !! - when does the crocopup phase end ? Cola 13 weeks on Wed - nice 2 toy play with my crocs just now - then suddenly not interested in crocs - go for mum - arms back neck ahhh - I can't help the odd ouch that comes out, even though I've read the posts that say don't react...

so after a few trips out in the van - with chew chew all the time - Cola is now fine with a smaller chewie which lasts while I am banging van doors and setting off - he then finishes this and now settles down as long as the van is moving - not sure whether he is sleeping or just resting, but...

Yes - a longer lightweight lead/long line - might be better - so for little butterfly distractions - I can just let him have some space

I think that would have to be for an older dog - there is no way Cola could catch a treat.

yes - with Jaffa I did cannicross so eventually the harness was def for pulling (please!) but not as a puppy

I agree with this - when Cola is older I'll get him a "perfect fit" harness which fastens round the head as well as round the middle - I find with Cola if the fit is right when on, its OK to put the harness over his head, but taking it off back over his head is a bit of a tight fit. Its hard...

Cola does lovely heelwork in the garden - started using the puppy natural follow and just click feed for position (repeat repeat etc) etc - so we have progressed this to having the harness on and me just holding the lead and that is fine until .....a butterfly passes or ... he's a puppy !- and...

introducing lead on Cola with a harness (He has been trailing it up until now) - just in the garden - but the moment he feels it tighten he kindof panics a bit and starts to fight it - I tried clicking as soon as it tightened a bit so he would kindof turn back to me - which worked once but then...

I have discovered the puppy paddling pool !!! - is a great refuge from a crocopup !! - he hasn't quite mastered the pool yet, so I can stand in the middle and smile at him - now I just need to set up one inside the house too - hummm
