    Mr Stanley Blue

Just echoing what everyone else has said really. I got Molly from a Gumtree ad - she was the last in the litter (and smallest - ha,ha, that didn't last long!) Someone had paid a deposit and then changed their mind so I got her cheap. I'm not sure I would have picked her, but I'd travelled 2...

Home again and here's a still-damp Rajah modelling his rosette.

    Rally with Rajah

This weekend I'm in Somerset with Rajah, travelling home tomorrow, at the Ilminster show. Yesterday we failed to qualify at L3 but today we scored 201 and came 4th. (In my mind I'm calling it joint-2nd :giggl:as 3 of us scored the same mark so places were decided by time and we were the slowest...

The Ballad of Maja and Carbón

Poor Carbon - you'll both be very relieved when she goes I'm sure. x

    Another FNA for Reuben

I'm so sorry that you and Reuben are facing this. But he's beaten it before and he can do it again.xx

That sounds like a huge step forward - well done! With the car have you tried other travelling options other than the one you have always used? I have a small car and dogs normally travel on the back seat wearing a harness attached to the seat belt, but Rajah wouldn't even consider this. So I...

    ?Infection

It's good that she's having some enjoyable days. You must have loved seeing her splashing in the puddle. x

    ?Infection

I'm so sorry. This must be so stressful for you. Is removing the plate an option? (A human friend had a badly broken leg which had a plate put in - months of pain and infection later they decide to remove the plate and now she can walk painfree.)

The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

I'm sure all the driving must be draining @Emily_Babbelhund . I drove back from Somerset on Sunday (about 6 hours - awful rain and heavy traffic) and yesterday I just lay around watching rubbish TV!

    Rally Training Day

I'm so glad you and Cassie enjoyed the day and she sounds as if she was a star! In Level 1 and 2 the only downs are from sit , but it's definitely worth teaching a down from stand (which can either be front end first or a sort of collapse straight down) as you need this in L3 onwards. With Molly...

@Jacqui-S Yes the rally people make a good, kind community - it's not win at any cost.

    Tess at West Buckland

Today I've been at a Somerset show doing Level 3 Rally with Tess. We got a qualifying score of 185 but I was a bit disappointed as she didn't perform as well as she can. Every so often she just stopped and looked around. However I did enjoy meeting up with other competitors and genuinely enjoyed...

    Flicka

I think it actually helps us as much as our dog if we try to view the dog's behaviour through a different lens. So instead of viewing the dog as a rebellious adolescent we take the viewpoint that the dog is behaving in the way they do for reasons such as: they like what they are doing they are...

    Flicka

It was lovely to see a photo of Rourke - what a gorgeous boy he was! And Flicka looks beautiful too. I'm sure it must be very hard to accept the current limitations that Flicka brings, but as others have said she has only been with you a very short time. Last week I visited a friend (in her...
