Librela - a new option for pain relief for dogs with osteo arthritis

@Cath , our pet store used to have the odd packet frozen, and the one time I went, they apparently had stopped doing it as they said people just made it. Not being organised or dedicated enough to make it, as I think @M.F. perhaps does, I buy mine direct from The Goldenpaste Company.

    Barking in his crate.

I have no good advice, our technique with Lilly was decidedly non R+ (advice from a trainer....). It does sound like he is very dependent on you. I would probably try and get his crate in bedroom or by bedroom as I would be struggling with lack of sleep. And also make sure as many people as...

    Vets of today

For the first time ever, more GPs are female than male. For the first time in my career, doctors can't get jobs 😟 Things just seem so out of balance everywhere.

    Galliprant for arthritis

After reading the PIL, I must admit the GI side effects of Galliprant have made me pause. At the moment most of her incontinent stool is pick-upable...... I have to just remind myself that every drug known to humankind has diarrhoea AND constipation as possible side effects.

    Galliprant for arthritis

Hmm. Vets are mixed. A recent one was talking in terms of time to PTS. I'm giving them the benefit of misinterpreting my discussion of how difficult I find the nocturnal incontinence. Lilly still likes to get out and walk and as far as I can tell is happy and enjoys life  . Of course still...

    Galliprant for arthritis

Lilly was on Previcox for many years. She had to stop it when she was on lupus treatment and when she restarted it afterwards it didn't help :(

    Galliprant for arthritis

I know this has been mentioned a few times on the forum and the snatches I saw seemed quite positive. Just looking for opinions on it for those who have used it for a while With Lilly we have gone through the usual NSAIDs, Pardale V (co-codamol), Tramadol, Gabapentin, Cartrophen...

    Vets of today

I was charged £25 for 18 (yes, 18!) 300mg gabapentin capsules last week. They were a bit strong so as agreed we reduced to 200mg dose, and a 4 week supply (112 × 100mg caps) just cost me £40. Neither charge included a consultation fee. That was on another day £58.50, no drugs issued or any...
