We get exactly the same here. "Chewie is a person. But not a grown-up. He's also your kid." 😬

Rowan got a Lego set for Christmas from a family friend and it features a police dog training setup, complete with agility course, man in bitework suit and decorative poo. And of course two Malinois. He also got a drum kit and is having a great time and saying he wants lessons(!)

Rowan has been so irritable these last few days. I guess its the heat, plus impatience re Christmas? I don't know but its been tough. We had a 30min screaming meltdown on the street this morning because he was feeling ambivalent about preschool/leaving me. There I am in my bloody reindeer...

Hope everyone is safe. On our first 40 degree day of the summer I mostly kept the doors closed to keep the house cool. In the middle of the day I opened them to let Chewie out for a wee and the silly bugger lay down on the baking pavers. 😱 I made him come inside...

OH is obsessed with Star Wars and thought Chewbacca was a sensible name for a dog... To be fair it does actually suit him because he makes all sort of weird Wookie groaning noises.

I love the look on his face. That's Chewies "my excitement valve is about to explode" face.

He's back to normal now. :inlove: I guess it was probably a muscle spasm given how quickly it resolved. He was reluctant to climb into chairs and beds for a couple of days but is back to his usual wiggly self now.

Thankfully someone can be home with him every day at least for a wee break. Thursdays are our hardest day but I can still pop home at lunch and let him out, give him a meal and his meds.

He's a bit happier after his first dose of NSAID. Actually hovered while I was making dinner. And went to sit in the garden with Rowan, who is the only human he actively wants to be with at the moment. Even though he's the most likely human to cause (unintentional) injury...

Something about Chewies symptoms wasn't sitting right with us and we took him to the vet. On examination they think the problem is likely to be in his neck- probably a disc issue. He's been given some anti-inflammatory and he's on house arrest for a few weeks. :( Poor little chap. Seems extra...
