    Maxx is sick

Hope he is better soon, I can empathise having had the same thing myself, horrid while it lasts, I am sure he will be better in a couple of days. Pumpkin helps the diarrhoea but not sure if only tinned?

    Tracker

Flicka bolted today before we even saw the other dogs, she didn't want to get out of the car to have her walk. She had stress diarrhoea all over the back yard when we got home. So sad as she was beginning to get a little better. She was fine down the lane this morning, walked in parallel with...

    Tracker

Thank you @Parodius, I think I will get one as Flicka is frightened of other dogs and does run off, yesterday she was so scared she evacuated her bowels. Once the dog had gone she was fine. Life is hectic at the moment so will look into Pawfit, good to have a recommendation.

    Gagging, infection on leg.

I feel particularly close to Snowie as he was a twin with Rourke. I do empathise with you and understand your worries.. Rourke had a similar problem but that was actually on the hock bone, it was ulcerated and sadly didn't heal. Snowie has it in a more fleshy area which is more likely to...

Poppy seizures - medicating with Pexion

Having had an epileptic dog I can understand your concern, thankfully it didn't sound as if you had to give medication and she has now recovered, Not pleasant though after 18 months free, fingers crossed she will be fit free for at least another 18 months.

    What made you smile today?

Animals can be so sensitive and Chewie is a prime example, how lovely. Hope you are beginning to feel less sore.

    ?Infection

Hope the problems get less as the day goes by, it is always such a worry and especially at weekends when local vets are not on call.

    Retrieving

You don't really want Hunter to drop the retrieve but to hold it until you take it. Flicka began but putting it on my knee when in the house. she couldn't understand hold. Today I said 'wait' and she held it! So perhaps you can think of another word? In the house teach Hunter to swap, so he...

    What made you smile today?

@kateincornwall, how thoughtful and kind and realising at last that your dogs mean a lot to you. That must have been one very bright thing to cheer you. xx

    Mr Stanley Blue

Echoing all the others, you can look too carefully. Whatever dog you choose (or who chooses you) you will come to love deeply. One of my best dogs was one I 'hated' for the first six months of her life, she was such a handful, but I would never have sent her back.
