Reuben at the Vets this afternoon

He has been unsettled today , possibly tummy ache and he is rather ( for him ) quiet . His usual demeaner is a happy go lucky soft silly boy . I started his special diet today , thankfully he loves cottage cheese and eggs so no protests xx

Reuben at the Vets this afternoon

Thank you dear friends for your well wishes for my boy . His poo this morning was a mix of brown and black but Sue still wants him to have the faecal test as this happened a couple of months ago, cleared and then came back . I am concerned because on his last mast cell tumour removal surgery ...

Sue has just called me , I have to put Reuben onto a red meat free diet for five days and then collect a faecal sample . He can have rice , potato ( they make him sick ) white fish, boiled chicken, cottage cheese and eggs or I can buy a prepared food from the Vets which is tempting really . She...

Reuben at the Vets this afternoon

Anna`s van has broken down so no playgroup this week but I would not have sent him anyway as I dont want him to put any stress on his tummy by charging around and he would do because they behave as they think they should do , regardless of how poorly they are xx

Just home after Reuben had a very lengthy examination . I had taken a photo of the black poo which he had a few months ago when I gave him omeprazole and it cleared . Sue agrees with me that it is most likely an ulcer which is caused by the mast cell cancer . I am to give him two 20mg omeprazole...

It is a tough decision for sure , one that only us can make after weighing up all the Pros and Cons , its a case of doing what is right based on information we have gleaned . I had Reuben castrated aged 2 and a half , and honestly, for him it was the best thing I could have done for our lad ...
