We nearly lost Harley to pyometra when she was just over a year old. I hadn’t heard of it before then. I took her to the vets for a lump on her head (in growing hair follicle!). The operated within the hour and said if they hadn’t of operated that she wouldn’t have been with us later that day...

I don’t think your thoughts are nonsense at all and I get what you are saying. Could you create a small garden area within the area that they were both in? That might help with you knowing she felt safe there?

I can sympathise as to how you are probably feeling as have similar issues with Harley and some dogs. I wouldn’t try and walk Hunter again today. Give both of you time to relax and calm down. Maybe walk him on a harness as they are much harder to get out of. Hope you manage to get some downtime...

I wasn’t 100% sure when horse treats were suggested. I was apprehensive at first, but then stepped back and questioned myself why when I give Harley lots of other different meats like venison and kangaroo.

Yes, she suggested Devils claw which we have just started. Hopefully it will help 😊

Hi and welcome from me and 7 year old girl, Harley. My girl is fearful at the vets now due to lots of procedures over the years. It has gotten worse since covid. I’m planning on doing several visits when they are back open just to say hi, weigh her then leave to build a positive association...
