If he is happy, healthy and has plenty of energy he is probably doing ok. I tend to just look at my lot with a "stranger's eye" every now and again and tweak their diet accordingly.

Good boy Reuben! Bear is very short sighted now as well as being almost deaf. I know how distressing it can be for them so having someone like Reuben will be an absolute saver for Nelly.

My dogs have had this at times. Really, it seems inexplicable. It just happens out of nowhere doesn't it? As long as they get better quickly then I don't worry about the odd urgency anymore.

Awwww. Poor little Spencer. He'll be well soon though. I was wondering, if a dog is becoming unwell whilst with a blind owner, how does that work? Is the dog trained to let them know somehow? Or is the dog regularly checked on?

Amber does this occasionally. She will show all the signs of sheer terror for a little while until I can calm her. It hasn't been so often recently but it is a bit like night terrors in children. Some sort of brain chemistry thing I think.

Amber hit adolescence and stayed there. She will be five this year and is still a giddy hippo most of the time. She's great during training and walks most of the time but at home she is demented. All part of her character and I love her silliness.
