My poor dog, Ginger, passed away on 4/8/24. She was 16 1/2. She is with her brothers and sisters are waiting for me on the Rainbow Bridge. The Librela made her final days pain free and she still ate well through to the end. My husband and I miss her so much! She had neurology and arthritis...

Librela - a new option for pain relief for dogs with osteo arthritis

You are right that the combination makes Ginger very weak and wobbly o her hind legs. It also makes her sleep. Ginger had been on Gabapentin before being on the combination, but it did not reliever her anxiety at all when we used to take her to a vet in the car. We have a visiting vet since...

    Dropped tail

Ginger has been having to urinate about every two hours for a few months now so if I don't get her outside she always has accidents in the house. She has leg weakness apparently because of the arthritis.

    Dropped tail

We use a vet who works for a place called "Vets to Pets" where Ginger's vet comes to the house since Ginger will not ride in the car. The Librela seems to be lessening Ginger's effects from the arthritis, but the tail always hangs down. The Librela made the hump in her back lessen a lot. I...

    Dropped tail

My dog Ginger's tail now stays straight down between her legs. She is 16 and this is a fairly recent occurance. Her tail used to go out and up. Does anyone know what the cause of the dropped tail could be?

    Hello to everyone!

I'm so glad the Librela is helping Kipper and having no side effects. I will be monitoring Ginger closely too and the vet will do blood work every so often.

    Hello to everyone!

I forgot to mention earlier that when we first adopted Ginger, she didn't know how to go on a leash for a walk with us or how to play with a toy. Apparently she must have used the backyard with her previous owners to do her thing, and never had any toys to play with back then. I'm glad we have...

    Hello to everyone!

Thanks for all of the information, Hah. I am buying the Adaptil. I hadn't heard of it before. I already sleep right near GInger. I'll let you know if it helps. Ginger also does the walking in circles when she wants her dinner so for Ginger, may be a sign of agitation as well as when she is...

    Hello to everyone!

Somewhere here someone asked for more infomation about GInger. There are two types of papillons. Ginger is the more common type with ears that look like butterflies. Papillon is the French work for butterfly, in case you hadn't run across that before. My husband and I are Ginger's third...
