Theres this lady , always one , the one who speaks their mind but spouts rubbish ! Well , she has made derogatory comments about my dogs and dogs belonging to friends too , tail too short , legs too long , on and one she goes , we all tend to ignore her as much as possible but just roll eyes at one another . She turned round to see me , my friend and the dogs walking towards her , and remarked that Reuben has a strange gait , that he walks slightly to one side , my friend couldnt look at me , I think she thought I would explode, but no . I calmly told her that dogs tend to favour left or right , to which she replied that of course she knew this . To my friends dismay , I then told her that it applies to many mammals , that one has to watch carefully as they move , finishing my little lecture with the words " Have you noticed that when a horse walks slowly , it always lifts one front leg at a time ? " Wow, she replied , fancy that , I never ever knew it . My friend had to turn away, almost in tears of laughter as we imagined her passing on this snippet of information to all and sundry
