Spag bol = Spaghetti and Bolognese sauce. Just an aussie shortening, but sure it is like that in the UK, but maybe not in Canada?

I always load up anything mince-based with veggies. I love veggies, they give it so much more flavour, too. Grated carrot, courgette, aubergine... I've not tried adding celery, but will now, for sure.
My latest batch of chilli also had grated parsnip in it, as I had some left over after Christmas. That gave it a lovely flavour.

Do you know, I knew, I just knew, just as soon as I typed in "spag bol", that this thread would develop a life of it's own.:clap::clap:.

No pasta sauce in ours -- garlic and tomato puree, beef stock and a bit of red wine :), tin of tomatoes of course you can use pork mince.

I've no idea how "authentic" the recipe is, but I've been making it for years, for my daughter it's definitely a comfort food, If she's up against and needs a bit of a "couch" she asks me to make it for her :)

Spag Bol is something I’ve massively gone off since I’ve been pregnant.

It was a staple mid week tea in our house but now I feel a bit sick whenever I cook it and can never face eating it.

I use the exact same recipe for lasagne though, and I can still eat that 🤷🏻‍♀️🙈
