I like the neighbourlyness but hubby doesn’t. I like that there are less planes and hopefully won’t have increased, increased from pre lockdown as people fly less.

Squidge did this in the winter. They were over for their first holiday since buying the apartment. I opened our door, she was ZOOM! straight in. "HI I'M LOONA!!", with me standing at the door, calling in vain and apologising as she kangarooed around the place.Stanley is the neighbour from hell.
He ran in my neighbours house today.

This is exactly me and my brother, I tried to keep in contact with him for mum's sake, he treated my mum really badly but she still wanted a chance of reconciliation with him. I did everything at the end for her on my own (with OH help too) but don't resent that at all, I am glad I was in control and knew exactly what was going on with her estate and arrangements and it made me feel better too. After it was over my brother took his inheritance and I haven't seen him since - but I like my life without him and his crap, it is so much less stressful and I am at peace with the fact that I did all I could for mum, as you have done too.
As you say some relationships are just not meant to be but we could be better off for that.

Homer chased a cat into a neighbours house once. It wasn't even her cat. He jumped over three front garden walls, down the road, into her house, out her house, only stopped when the cat went up a tree!
