A quiet milestone

The last 2 nights, young Kipper has been de-crated - the first night because he woke up about 2pm and then didn’t want to go back in his crate, and last night we just left him sleeping behind his chair because he looked so comfy. It’s taken so long (he’s 22 months now) because he’s seemed quite happy in his crate and I wasn’t confident he’d settle out of it, but so far it’s working okay.

Last night he squeaked a bit at around 2pm so I went to check on him, he settled after 20 mins, I think it was the heat and thunder. The boy’s growing up!

Rory ate things and couldn't be trusted for ages. Its great to realise they just don't need it anymore. Kippers such a good boy. Well done mister

Well done young lad , bless you xx You know, its strange because whilst the Reubster is very excitable , he hasnt ever been in a crate , stays on his own in the sitting room and doesnt touch a thing . I have a feeling he might be lulling me into a false sense of security though !
These milestones are so great , we can feel that we got something right , good boy Kipper xxxxx

Well done Kipper  Baxter loved his crate, now he has the run of the downstairs. When we had Nevis and we decided to de-crate him on the first night,(even though we left the door open) he stayed in it, second morning he was on the rug. The third night however he scraped off the bottom half of the wallpaper of one wall  Can laugh now :cwl:

What a good boy Kipper (except for the shoes and the skirting).

Last night Maxx slept on the upstairs king size bed on his own while we slept, sans dog, downstairs. Heaven. The doors and stairs were open in case he woke up and felt scared. He came down for cuddles about 6.00am and then about 6.30 it was EVERYBODY UUUUUUUPP!!! time which was announced by sitting on my chest and trying to give my face a clean. Then he bounced onto hubby who yelped and that was that.
