Adolescent chat

Love it!

OH just called to say Maxx recalled from another dog! That's a first. Not straight away, it took a few calls to get through to his furry brain but then he came running. There's hope for us yet...although just after he ran into the bog again but honestly I reckon that's just being a dog. They love mud. Even well behaved Holly likes to wallow in some mud - right @Hollysdad ?

Hunter Numnuts is driving me insane. Not sure if it is the peak of the chemical castration, adolescense or just pure stupidity but his pulling for other dogs is unbearable. He will sit in the middle of the road to just see the other dog. The trip to the Eurotunnel and pet reception may prove a tad testing for me tomorrow. The hotel stay will also prove demanding. Luckily dog friendly...... Well I will just see how dog friendly they are😊

I think someone (@Emily_Babbelhund ??) said there was a "drive-through" for dogs now, so they don't have to get out of the car?
Wasn't me, though that would be nice if true. But the last time I went Calais to Folkestone it was back in June, and then you still had to get out of your car and go through pet reception. Folkestone to Calais they don't get out of the car as usual, and that's the only direction I came in November since I got into the UK on that trip via Ireland.

Good luck @Loraseal , I hope all goes smoother than you are anticipating!

Hmm, maybe my sister. They do have it (New Pet Reception in Calais - Eurotunnel Le Shutlle blog) but it’s only operational ā€œcertain daysā€, whatever that means. I wonder if you can call ahead and find out when it’s operational.

OH (in an attempt to stop me bawling my eyes out on a daily basis, I suspect) has just bought me and Maslow this as a post Christmas present! Obviously he won’t be able to have the jumps as ā€˜jumps’ for a few months but I’m guessing we are going to have lots of fun with it. I thought I might take it to school with him and he can do it with the kids :dug::gift:7D31FC1F-459C-417C-8C84-6FDCF3159924.png1A191E18-0E10-4274-8077-BC784286604A.png

Ah, you do this too?! But what a fabulous present - and if you have the ring low down you get all the benefits of jump practice (position, handling skills etc) without the joint pressure. Apparently it’s a thing now, called ā€˜hooping’ :hmm: Mas is going to love it!
Bravo, OH :fistbump:
@HAH, we have made the very sad decision to have Leo put to sleep this week, OH is (probably justifiably) panicking that I’m about to have a breakdown and so is doing everything possible to keep me as distracted as possible.

Oh damn, that’s bitter; sorry to be flip. And thank goodness you have each other for support. The equipment will definitely keep you and Mas occupied, it’s a really thoughtful present xxx
