I might add that, having never warmed up following my cold very wet nocturnal foray , I decided that a hot shower was the order of the day , to waken me and warm me up ! As I didn't want Reuben to wake Paul and Nelly , I stupidly left the bathroom door open , having taken the precaution of moving the toilet roll holder to higher ground first ! I heard him , from behind the curtain , messing about , and as I opened the shower curtain , I saw the bathmat slowly disappearing through the open door , then realised that he had also decided to drag the nice warm towels from the radiator and into the kitchen ! Not a dull moment ! xxx

Not Reuben's fault then but the ungodly weather :) Of which there seems to be a great deal of today.......
You've sent it to Sydney. Two months worth of rain today and it is horrendous - and it is only 7.30am. Lucky I start work early because the trains are already having problems and the station I get out at in the City is flooding. I had to wade through ankle deep water to get out and that was 40 minutes ago so I imagine they will have to close it soon. And that will cause utter chaos because it is the main station for the CBD

@Lab-adore, sorry to send you the rain, though I believe your part of Australia needed it, but not in one go! That sounds alarming the station being flooded so early in the day, hope you managed to get home?

Unfortunately the country areas that need the rain aren't getting much, if any :'( - it is all coastal. It's now 8.45am and people are stranded everywhere. I dread the trip home this arvo

I’ve just seen the flooding on the news. :( Hope you get home safely.

Thanks @Jelinga, my boss kindly told me leave early to avoid the next storm that was due right at peak time so I got home without any issues. What a mess though, trees on houses and cars stranded in flood waters and in the morning the whole city - trains, buses, cars, ferries all pretty much ground to a halt

Sadly three people lost their lives including a 14 year old boy :(
