Every spring , Reuben digs a hole , in the same spot . I fill it in, he digs it out, I even sowed grass seed , covering it over with a big basket , he dug it out . Sam was not a digger but he dug this same place and Labrador Tess before him too , might just have to dig down and investigate xx

Kate all of mine are doing exactly the same each year. Always the same spot. I think they are eating little bits of the soil from that particular place. Must be some mineral or such like that they need at this time of year.

Nelly is a digger but a very sneaky digger , she goes up the top of the garden and digs under the bench , little tyke

Maybe some creature lives under where they dig. The most Charlie does is scratch the surface of the grass for a good old roll in bird poo xx

My two have a special hole they've dug for a couple of years. I've filled it in again this year, seeded it and it's covered with the rack out of the old dishwasher. It started with Coco gnawing at the grass roots in that spot, then he ate the soil, then he dug properly. They also eat the soil under the christmas tree. Grrr.

Oreo never STARTS the digging, but if someone else did, e.g. a puppy, or Mr Bun Bun, then she would continue it

Yeah, Windsor made a hole last year. Or maybe it was one of the other puppies and Windsor joined in. It was a popular target.
Eventually when we were puppy free we managed to fill it in an reseed it.
Survived this year so far.

It was actually Gus that started it, but then we moved his hutch and it was a free for all when Windsor started on it oh I miss her
