Animal Olympics.

While watching the olympics a long conversation ended with “ I’ll ask my Labrador friends” if there was an Animal Olympics apart from horses and dogs, maybe pigeons (but they’d all go home) what other animals would compete?
I suggest snail racing but Hubby says that you can’t train a snail.

Ok, so it's not in the Olympics, but Carbon would win gold in those hot dog eating competitions.

And those dogs who do dock diving would kill on the long jump!

Collies would be great at curling. It always looks to me like curlers are trying to herd that rock.

I think you're onto something there. Your hubby could well be very surprised at how well snails can be trained and coached for racing. My children used to entertain themselves with snail racing -- the snails had names. The three I remember most were Walter, Ishmael and Abraham. Ishmael had a real talent as I recall.
