Annie not well

Well after a couple of weeks on tablets, I thought all was well. Her fur had began to grow, but know she has started to bit her legs again.
So back to the vets this morning.

Yes. her tablet finished on the 2 October and she seemed well and happy, but last night she didn't stop biting her legs. I had to sit with her to stop her. So we have to go back to the vets this morning.

Well back from the vet's. She is back on the steroids for 10 days and now needs to have her legs washed in Malaseb.
If not better we will need to go back again. The vet did say there is something that she could have, from Sept until Dec, but doesn't really like dogs being on drugs that long if not needed.

Oh poor Annie, so sorry to hear this.
One of my cats used to have steroid injections monthly through the summer and autumn to manage allergies like this. She used to rip all her fur out on her tummy and was a miserable mess until we started her on steroids. After a couple of years we began to space the injections out until she only needed two a year to keep things under control.

Oh poor Annie! We have had an itchy dog here, no spots, no rash.... but horribly itchy. Casper had to have a steroid injection in the end and twice weekly bathing with Malaseb. I think he is OK now. I was surprised how effective the Malaseb was mind.

Poor Annie, it must be so unpleasant to be itchy; a friend's Lab is itchy during the summer, so hope Annie's will soon naturally go if it is due to an allergen. Hope the present treatment does the trick. Our dogs are such a worry.

It's funny that it is Sept to Dec. I wonder if the trees and fallen leaves have anything to do with it. We live down a dirt track with lots of trees.
I just can't think what else it can be. Fingers crossed that the Malaseb it help her.
