Annie

I thought I better let you know that I had a bit of a shock with Annie. I found a lesion on her lower leg. I live on a dirt track which is very muddy and the fields I go on are really very wet. You know what I am going to say, I thought she may have Alabama rot. It was in the Evening that I found it. She was lying by the fire and I saw it on her lower part of her leg. A red lesion about as big as my finger nail. There was nothing on Fred. We took her to the vets next day and although the vet said she had never seen it herself, she checked her out. Test have been done and Thankfully all came back clear. Alabama rot can only be confirmed once the dog is dead She is bright and eating well, she had not changed in herself at all. It has been 4 days now. We think she must of caught her leg when jumping over the stile. She has been given Isaderm cream to be put on twice a day. She can't go out onto the track with all the mud until it has healed, just the garden for now. I am so grateful that she my darling girl is alright.

Oh goodness, you must have been so worried, it's such a concern on all the mid we ave at the moment. Glad it turned out to be something minor, but I'd have been straight down to the vet too.

Yes, she's ok and asleep on my bed now. I was worried, I couldn't do anything to help her, but take her to the vets.

Oh @Cath, what a fright, glad all is well. We did have a dog die from Alabama Foot Rot here in Malvern last year, frightening.

Thank you. She has been very good about me putting the cream on and doesn't try to lick it off.
She doesn't like me taking Fred out and not her. OH has to be with her or she will bark the house down

Poor Annie. Hope she isnt on house arrest for long. Can you take her out somewhere in the car less muddy for a walk? (Er...good luck with that if you can)

No not really, all around here are flooded fields. I would have to take her into town, but then she would just be on lead walk.
Hopefully if won't be long. Playing lots of games together.
