It was the dreaded yearly check up today. Simba went bouncing in as per usual. Happy to see everyone, including the vet, who is a friend of the family.
...until the exam starts and he turns into a growling snapping monster.
Muzzle on, much growling and struggling as Dr tries to examine the little lump I had found by his tail. Determined it was nothing, phew, but now it’s time for needles.
Dr suggests that perhaps he could get help from one of the assistants so I agree, he takes him into back room and enlists some help. I’m expecting to hear bloody murder from the back but all is silent and i’m barely settled in the waiting room when he’s back. He didn’t make a peep or even move at all when they gave the needle! Maybe the little exam room is stressful? Or because I was there? Who knows.
Well, it’s over for another year, thank goodness. All’s good with the pup except he’s gained a little weight so we know what that means...
Enjoying my tea tonight...
