At the vets again!

His other ear is absolutley spotless and I check them fairly often (at least twice a week) he was so good at the vets and allowed them to get a good look. His ear drum is bulging and looking like it will perforate he must have been in agony!

He’s on steroids and antibiotic drops for 10 days

It's like kids ears they seem to go from ok to furiously infected in hours. You caught it quick like you always do with him. You take care he's got a good mum in you. XXX

That’s exactly how Ariel’s one ear has looked on a few occasions. Only her left ear, the other is always spotless. We’re staying more on top of checking now that we know she’s prone to these.

Dreaded ear infections!! He will feel better very quickly!

Axel used to get bad ones quite regularly, and he hated the ear drops. Used to take two of us to put the drops in. But shortly after me and my ex husband split, Axel got a bad ear infection again and it was like he knew I needed him to help me. He saw the drops in my hand, he came and sat in front of me and stayed still the entire time. I swear he just knew I needed him to help me as I was in a fragile state. Since then, any signs of an ear infection I treat him with drops for a couple days and it clears up, but always does the exact same thing now, he sees the drops and comes and sits in front of me and lets me get on with it. I even filmed it for my ex because he didn’t believe me!

Yet another fire alarm at school today (bastards!) mas’s first day back so nervous was an understatement! Luckily he took it all in his stride (helped by the sausages that the kitchens had cooked him as a welcome back present )

Had a nice weekend at Dogs trust show as well so hoping his ear is fine now!

He looks very happy - glad he's feeling so much better.

If it gives you any hope, Brogan's ear infections pretty much went away when he got older (8 years plus). No idea why, but glad they did. He always had a 'bad ear' too. I finally just got in the habit of cleaning it a couple times a week and it helped a lot. I'm so grateful that so far Carbon's ears seem to be like self-cleaning ovens!

He seems to be back to his usual self now! We have one more day of the steroids and 2 more days of the ear drops but then all done!
