At the vets

The dog is going to kill me. Literally. I’m going to die from anxiety.

I got home from taking the kids to their dads (OH stayed at home with Mas) OH went to the toilet. In that time Mas has opened the kitchen door and eaten 2 trays of chocolate brownies that my son made at school today.

He is currently throwing his stomach contents up at the vets for the bargain price of £300.

OH is mortified and devestated.

Vets are happy he should be fine once stomach is empty!

They don’t think there is anything massive to worry about, he consumed 120g of dark chocolate and 50g of coco powder - the coco powder is the worse bit.

A decent throwing up and he should be fine, if feeling slightly sorry for himself

I’m sitting in the waiting room listening to him wretch , vet just came out and said ‘does he even chew?’ Apparently the brownies are literally coming out whole!! Which is great as it means he hasn’t digested any!

Vet just came out, he’s confident none has been absorbed as the brownies still have their crispy shell in tact in the vomit

Once he stops being sick we can take him home with a lovely drink of charcoal!

Yup! BecUse we acted so quickly the vet isn’t worried at all. He has also just had his dinner which hasn’t digested yet so they are confident nothing has entered his system!

If we ever do an awards night I’m absolutely taking home the ‘dog that lived’ trophy
