Shadow had a recurrent limp for aaaages. It would be there for a couple of days, gone for a couple of weeks or so, come back again... it was really weird. We took him to the vet numerous times, and in the end had X-rays. Nothing showed up, but since the X-rays (last spring), he's not had the limp. So, there you go: you just need a more expensive medical diagnostic test to stop it

Only just seen this - I hope GGJ is better soon.
I had a very similar experience with Molly as Fiona has written @snowbunny , a few years ago. I also had x-rays done and sent off to a specialist, which thankfully showed no sign of arthritis - and then the limp miraculously went away!

Hope Joy is ok, limps are always worrying, I always write the script right down to the last awful detail... It’s almost always just a pulled muscle though.

Still on the Rimadyl, hardly limping at all, due another tablet and short walk on lead tomorrow, then stop Rimadyl and if she's not limping gradually increase walks. She's fine in herself, as lively as ever and enjoying having the back door open and sitting in the sun. She's barked at every dog she's seen go by on the towpath apart from a handsome Chocolate Lab. She just watched him go past and wagged!

Glad she is feeling better and not limping as much. Sure she is enjoying the sunshine and relaxing having access to the back garden..

She has a jaunty spring in her step this morning and was most indignant when we turned round to come home. Good signs I think!

She's also very bored! Grumbling and squeaking at me and barking at absolutely everything she can see outside including birds on the the bird feeder. I'm doing my best to also see this as a good sign!
