Back to the Vets , another lump

We`re home . Sue seems to think it may be a keloid , a sort of reactive overgrowth from the internal stitches but she said there was a possibility that its another very tiny MCT . He had his chest shaved so that she could see it better, it is very small , so small that she says a FNA would be very difficult to carry out and would probably come back as inconclusive . We have to go back in 2/3 weeks time to see if it has grown ( she took careful measurements and diagrams ) and if not change , we can assume that it is indeed scar tissue and nothing more sinister . So yes, I`m glad I took him and as Sue rightly says , keeping vigilant is the best thing to do as these blighters have a habit of popping up . In himself, he looks fit as a fiddle , had lots of fuss and treats, he loves going to our Vets thank goodness . Thank you for being there , I will try my best to be positive now xx

That would be the best possible news if it's scar tissue - also makes sense given how big and deep the wound was. I'm sorry you have to keep waiting, but glad there could be a benign explanation. How are you feeling after today's visit?

I feel much better thanks Emily , its comforting to know that it isnt necessarily anything sinister . I`ve had a couple of sleepless nights but I think I will sleep better tonight , so glad I took him and yes, that wound was a whopper , bless him xx
