Back to the Vets , another lump

Oh how I so love my Vet  Sue was on holiday when Reubens results came in so it was another Vet who rang me . However, this didnt stop Sue from ringing me yesterday to discuss everything in depth , she really understand my anxieties and is genuinely supportive . She explained that the lump is composed of lipids and debris , so not just a fatty lump and neither is it a keloid , she gave it a name which I instantly forgot . The issue is that this lump is close to the jugular and so if it grows, it will need to be surgically removed , we have to monitor it and he will be back in 4 weeks ( or before if we notice changes ) for obs on this lump and check for any further ones , then if all is well , he will see her every three months . She went on to say that at no time would think I was being paranoid or fussing unnecessarily , she would always be there for us , this is a massive comfort to us xxx

I did have it explained to me that grade 2 is the one that Vets dislike most of all . Grade 1, if taken with clean margins , can almost be forgotten about , grade 3 is not good and grade 2 is the unpredictable one which, even with clean margins, has a habit of popping up again . It is not easy to switch off but I have to , Reuben has grade 2 but could have very many happy years ahead, this is what we focus on xxx
