He is so good in himself , I`ve been trying hard to stop him from tearing round and round the garden , he is bright eyed , eating and drinking so fingers crossed he isnt sick again xx

Nelly is fine, so its not a bug . Meant to say that the wound is looking grand, no sign of infection , so I`m more and more suspicious of the Loxicom and glad I chucked it away x
for Reuben. I hope he‘s ok tonight, but maybe a quick call to the vet tomorrow anyway. x

I fed him his usual food last night, he also had YuDigest which a friend had given to me when her dog died, plus a goodly dollop of natural bio yoghurt and was fine with this . He hasnt been sick again and has done a perfect poo in the garden this morning . I will speak to the Vet but 
he is ok now, bless him . He really has been such a good boy throughout xx

I had a quick chat with the Vet , she says most likely the Loxicom , that I did the right thing to stop it . Just to keep a close eye on him and if he is sick again then take him to see them xx
Poppy can't have Loxicam either Kate, makes her very sick indeed, although Merlin has no problem with it. Glad you stopped giving it to him.

Its like Russian Roulette with these NSAI`s isnt it ? Nelly has metacam occasionally if her CM is troublesome , she has no ill effects at all and my old girl Tess had Loxi for her arthritis with no side effects xx

There is some research going on to see if there is a genetic component as to why some dogs can take NSAID and why it causes real problems in other dogs ie bleeding in the stomach and vomiting.

I was told to watch for blackish poo and blood in the vomit , neither of which he has had and fingers crossed he has not been sick again . It would be very interesting to see if there is a genetic component involved , Reuben wont have it again for sure xx

The difference in Reuben today has been incredible 
I have been out in the garden playing with him , he has a kong on a rope which he adores and has been flying round and round holding it by the rope so that the kong swings from side to side , calm , whats calm ? Quietly confident that he is over his sickness, he is looking grand , happy and joyful as usual , thank you for all your lovely comments wishing him well xxx
