Bit of a dilemma

If they come running at you try the “stop” technique. Step right in front of them (yes a bit scary but this works!) feet planted, hand out like a policeman and say “STOP” in your best policeman voice. I have done this twice, once with a very exuberant dog that was really annoying Simba and once with one that was curious and heading towards us but was a very big off-lead dog. Both times it works. At least that might stop them from knocking you over.
Glad you had a word with them, though. Hopefully they will take it to heart and not just avoid places but try to get their dogs under control!

Things have improved over the last week , which is good because I love this walk , its enough for Reuben and not too much for Nelly . Reuben now plays with them but they dont seem to be quite so boisterous as they were , maybe because they have all got used to one another . They still charge towards me , but if I turn sideways on , they put the brakes on . Today, the lady actually asked me about the use of the whistle , which is really good , it shows a willingness to improve their oft manic behaviour . This is the three of them today , they played really nicely , no jumping on one another,SAM_7450.JPG far more civilised ! x
