Canine First Aid Course

This morning, mum and I have completed a canine first aid practical course! It was very interesting and i have definitely learned a lot of useful things that I can pass on to the other girls at work.
Here are some photos of Lilly and Oreo taking part in the bandaging :giggl: Lilly was unimpressed so Oreo was the star pupil :inlove:

In addition to being great that you did the course, the photos are precious. Oreo being Oreo and Lilly being Lilly...if you know what I mean!

This is a good reminder that I have an animal first aid online course sitting in my Udemy queue that I've not taken yet. I've done the class live twice but the first one was a long time ago and the second one was in Germany and frankly I didn't understand half of it. Mostly I remember Brogan being an excellent doggie "victim" for practice!

Had my first bandage needing done today!
Archie was staying with us and I noticed blood on his paw in between his toes on Tuesday. I spoke to kirst (my friend, his owner) and we decided it would be best to take him to the vet to get it checked over just in case. Turns out he had a lump in there which had burst, so he got antibiotics and all bandaged up and sent on his way. He went to stay back at their house as her brother said he would stay and look after him when I was at work.
Last night he chewed through the bandage...42664EFB-6DFF-457F-BF10-14DC6518E70F.jpeg

Kirst called me at 7:30am (I was still asleep cause I’m not at work until 3 today) and I went down to collect Archie to clean the wound and re-bandage. Her brother had to leave for work so he was all alone in the house (with the other 2 dogs).

@edzbird no, he doesn’t have a cone but I’ve put one of the pet boots on it too so hopefully that will help. I’m dropping him off again at 2.30 and he’ll be alone for about 2 hours before someone else is home. I’m keeping an eye on him and I may give him a cone just to be sure. He’s back at the vets tomorrow for a check.
