Car sickness

Poor love x Maybe you could try just sitting in the car with him , no engine on , just sitting and maybe a treat ? Then progress to giving him his meal in the car , again no engine noise until he feels comfortable. Then gradually with the engine on , move a few yards and so on . I`m probably preaching to the converted, but hope it may help xxx

No, he loves getting in the car and jumps in, but sudden he becomes sick. I think its the very smooth movement of the car.
Annies fine she just sleeps. Fred looks out of the window. I think its a bit like when children are car sick.

Is the new car an electric one? I’ve read that children in the back can get nauseas when driving due to the smooth and very fast acceleration. Perhaps dogs also?

the article….in Dutch. …..

No, but an it is a very smooth ride and it has a clear roof which may not help him. We are going to try the blind next time.
Sorry should of said its an automatic car, never had one before.

I had similar issues with Neo when he was younger, like @SwampDonkey , we found he was much better when he couldn’t see everything whizzing past around him. I’ve now got sun shades fitted on all the windows at the back, you can still see out for manoeuvring but it’s enough that we haven’t had any more incidents since. Hope you find something that helps 🤞

I managed to get some tablets for Fred. I picked them up from our French vet. They are called Nozevet and they worked. We had blocked out the
windows next to Fred, but that didn't work. So we put him in the middle seat between Annie and me, with the tablets he was fine at last. He didn't sleep like Annie but laid down. For 20 tablets it was 12 euros which is £10.29 and will do a number of journeys to France. Happy bunny :bunny:
